Boarding

Our team at Countryside Pet Resort is dedicated to a safe, enjoyable, and healthy stay for your pet while they are with us.

Our boarding facilities can accommodate all sizes and personalities of pets. For the pampered pet or those who need more room, we offer luxury suites. We also offer indoor, air-conditioned/heated runs and cages in the main kennel area. Our furry friends are let outside in the play yards 4 times a day for a chance to stretch and run around. Last but not least there is a separate cat room off of the reception area where our feline friends can find a quiet, relaxing environment to catch up on some much-needed rest.

Some helpful information when coming to board with us:

Drop-off Times: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; by appointment only on Saturday, 8:30-10:30 AM.

Pick-up Times: 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pick-up after 2:00 PM will be charged for an additional day of boarding. If your dog is attending our afternoon session of daycare while boarding, pick-up for boarding is extended to 5:00 PM (to finish daycare) without an additional charge. Saturday pick-up is by appointment only, 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM.

We require everyone to put a credit card on file at drop-off.

Labeling and Items brought for Boarding

We provide bedding and bowls. All other items brought with your pet, including their food, toys, own bedding, and any other personal belongings, need to be labeled.

We ask you not to bring any additional treats that can’t be consumed within a short time (such as rawhides). Please keep toys to a maximum of 2 per pet.

We may not be able to use the bedding you drop off or send it home clean, as some XL beds won’t fit in your pet's boarding area or in our washer. While we welcome items from home that are clearly labeled, we cannot guarantee those items will survive their stay due to your pet being in an unfamiliar environment.

Food

Kennel dry food is included for dogs and cats, but if you are bringing your own, please provide enough food for the duration of your pet's stay and a little extra for emergencies.

If your pet requires some extra enticement while boarding to eat their food (adding our yogurt, chicken, tuna, or canned EN), we will notify the owner, and there will be an additional charge.

Prescription Medication

If your pet requires any prescription medication, it will need to be in its original bottle. Please ensure you are leaving the right amount for the duration of their stay and a little extra.

Please note there is an additional fee for medication and insulin administration.

Vaccinations

We need all vaccination records prior to your pet's boarding stay. They can be emailed to [email protected] or faxed to us at 316-530-5184. The following are required:

Dogs – Rabies, DHAPP, Lepto, Bordetella, Influenza (H3N2, H3N8), and a yearly negative fecal test
Cats – Rabies, FVRCP

Boarding Over a Holiday

There is a $25 cancellation fee for boarding in a suite over a holiday. You must cancel by close of business two days prior to your boarding date, or you will be charged this fee, as it holds your spot in a limited area when we are fully booked.

If your pet requires a walk alone over a holiday, our walk-alone rate is higher than our normal walk-alone fee due to the increased number of clients we have over the holiday.

Doggy Daycare

Our doggy daycare is the place for the active, playful, fun-loving pet who excels in situations where they get to play for hours on end with fellow companions. Each fun-filled day includes:

Supervised playtime with friends, activities like fetch, nap time, snacks, personal attention, and affection. Daycare can be a full or half-day of playtime for the convenience of your schedule.

11:00 am-2:00 pm is nap time for all daycare attendees, where each pet will receive a snack before nap. You're welcome to bring in your own treat or lunch if you'd like your dog to stick to their home diet.

Dog Grooming

Regular grooming is essential to the maintenance of your pet's health. Keep your pet smelling and looking attractive, prevent parasites, and skin irritations.

While grooming should be done on a consistent basis, the frequency to which your pet needs to be groomed will depend somewhat on daily routines, coat type, age, and general health. It is recommended that long-haired dogs be groomed every 6-8 weeks to avoid matting. In addition, your pet will benefit from regular brushing to remove any loose hairs and dead skin cells, to rid the coat of debris and external parasites, and to disseminate skin oils that form along the hair shafts.

Dog Grooming Service Details

We can assist in recommending the proper tools to use for your pet's coat type. If your pet suffers from allergies, our veterinarian may prescribe regular bathing as part of the treatment routine. Be sure to notify us of any special needs your pet may require such as specific shampoos or eye care and bring any of these products with you to your appointment. Please schedule your pet's appointment in advance, especially during the warmer summer months and near the holiday seasons.

Includes a bath, blow dry, brushing, nail trim*, eye gunk removal, ear check and cleaning, and external anal gland expression (if needed). *Upgrade to a nail dremel, a gentle tool that files nails for a smooth finish and allows a closer trim to the quick.

Total Groom
