Hi! I’m Dr. Lauren Herd and I was born and raised in Wichita where I graduated from Northwest High School in 2013. I then attended the University of Kansas to purse a bachelor’s degree in biology, followed by an animal science degree from Kansas State University. I attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2023.

During my undergraduate studies, I worked at hog farms as well as a beef cattle ranch, but ultimately found that companion animals were my first love.

I have two dogs-Angus and Tater To- who are both pitties and extremely spoiled.

My hobbies include reading, watching baseball, and making far too many references from The Office. I have a passion for internal medicine and community outreach as well as client education about general wellness and preventative medicine.

I'm really excited about building relationships with our clients and their pets at Countryside!
